Sketchbooks
Debra's unique sketchbooks are the beginning of her creative process. They are a rare insight into the artist’s thoughts and ideas, as well as mark-making and colour experimenting, notes, wrappings, market finds, old photos, Hindi papers and inspiring collected treasures from her journeys.
In recent years she has favoured the use of concertina books, which she makes, with tactile handmade, dyed fabric covers and fills with her energy. It is the beginning of something bigger to develop.
